The movement featured here’s the durable Valjoux 7753 that delivers a sufficient 48-hour power book. This is the same movement as was housed in the prior Baume & Mercier Capeland Shelby Cobra Limited Edition watches, and while the 7753 may not be the prettiest of motions, you are not necessarily buying this watch for your case-back. You see, its a milder crystal, curved from top to bottom. You could be thinking, well, what’s so special about that? You can actually see a large part of the curve due to how the case sides scoop down from it. Does this provide you with a view of the crystal, it keeps the faces of the watch from seeming to be too thick.
